It's common sense months 1-4 are the toughest and now I can vouch for that. I'm only 5 and a half weeks out and have lost the majority of the grafts. I've chosen to buzz my hair down to a #1, so the scar screams at anyone behind me and my MPB screams to anyone in front of me. Add in the pimples and you've got yourself one fugly situation. I know it is all part of the process- but even knowing that- it still sucks!

Just curious if there is any harm in squeezing the pimples? I have a real hard time walking out of the house with the little, white spots on my soon to be hairline.

MeBlindMelon,

Very descriptive post and very funny! I did the same thing, shave my head for my third surgery and I just looked like a mess at certain points, especially when the pimples started forming.

No harm will come to the graft by squeezing pimples though I personally have found that using a warm damp cloth to moisten the area helps aid healing rather than run the risk of causing infection by popping them. I also used a product called "Tend Skin" (can be found online), recommended by Dr. True which is an alcohol based product that helps aid healing.

Just some things to consider Smile

Good to know Falc. Thanks for the info. I just didn't want to pop one of them and have a double graft shoot out and stare at me in the mirror.

Adios,

Mb'r
