My doctor adviced me to try to remove the scabs within 2 weeks. After 16 days the risk of losing grafts is very minimal. So you can use more force to try to get rid of the scabs. According to my surgeon having scabs for too long can have a (very minimal) negative influence on the result.

The trick on scabs is to gently work on them as soon as possible. Yes, by day 16 they really should be gone and your grafts are seated so, check with your Doc, but you can probably work them much more aggressively now..........just don't use your fingernails Wink!

Scooby
this is what my doctor did to remove my scabs..wash your hair, soak shampoo on your graft area for 5 minutes. rinse the shampoo off, bloat dry, while the scabs is still bit wet, use a qtip and gently roll the scabs over, they will come off cleanly like wallpaper. put a lil bit pressure if you need to.
thats how my doctor tech got all the scabs off.
