Hello all -

Is it really necessary to have a blood test done before the HT procedure? I mean some doctors require the blood test, while some don't. What is the whole purpose behind it if not all docs require it?

I suppose it is a matter of personal and legal insurance. Dr Hasson doesn't ask for it, Dr Feller does. Both are top notch surgeons. I don't have a problem with that (other than the added cost), I have blood tests on a regular basis and in fact that's the best way to learn whether there's something wrong with you that you weren't aware of. So consider it as an expensive medical check-up. One thing's for sure: it can't harm you!

Thanks hairworthy -

For the 1st procedure, I had blood test done. For the 2nd, I don't think I need one.

Well that depends. Usually a hair transplant leads to several hook ups. So for the second you really should be tested.

I wish him that it be happier than yours, which shouldn't be difficult.
