ok, lads......
Is there anyone at all who can post a positive experience having had a BHT one or two years on that are even remotely comparable to strip or FUE?...If you can , please tell us which doctor, how many grafts, how long it took and how much it cost...

I only ask because i have had a 2900 graft procedure with Epstein, probably need another 4-5000 evetually that he said I can do with strip, then I plan to extract any FUE's that I can, and if anything is still needed I guess I'd have body hair as a last resort becuase I could weave a Persian rug with the amount of body hair I have and donate a few million grafts to anyone else if scientifically possible. I just keep hearing bad things about BHT but have heard lots of good stuff about "the woods technique" and Dr. Umar.....Any comments my hair obsessed comrades?

wanthairs,

There is only ONE that I know of to date that has had a truly positive experience with BHT...and right now, his name has left me. I believe his doctor was Dr. Umar? Again...I could be wrong.

BUT...IMO, BHT is still too experimental. Positive results seem to be rare at this point and still do not compare to a good STRIP or FUE session of scalp hair.

My recommendation to people has always been...don't even think about BHT until you've used up all your scalp donor hair. You could easily end up spending a fortune on BHT and have a very low yield.

wanthairs,

I'm glad I can help you bro.

Well, it took some time and much energy...but these 7550 babies have really helped boost my confidence in how I look. Best decision I ever made...well...besides getting married to a wonderful woman Wink.

Heliboy Falc.... and your wasting your time if you try to find 2+ year post op pics of BHT patients.

In addition, you will find that any decent or good results are mixed with several thousand scalp grafts which makes these results very difficult to really appraise.

Because body hair is completely out of phase with scalp hair, myself and others believe that many bht patients realize some very good results intially and then have their body hair transplant go into a long resting phase and cause an overall thinning in their look.

I believe we will see some very good results with scalp hair mixed with some beard grafts (in the crown/midscalp) and body hair used to replenish overharvested or thin donor areas of the scalp.

I have been clamoring on other sites for Dr's Umar and Poswal to produce some actual patient results from '04 or '05......as of yet nothing of merit.

Take Care,
J

Hi

I 've been on this site over 2 year or so and have seen a couple of bodyhair transplants..

I'm sure one of them can chime in and see if it was successful or not..

this is a BIG topic
