Can someone give me a size reference of a CM? I keep hearing docs say they can pack a certain amount of hairs into a CM, but im not sure what that looks like around? Hope that makes sense.

what they're referring to is per cm2.
To give u an idea of its size if u look at the top of this page, see the quick reply box with the yellow arrow beside the reply box...thats roughly 1 cm2 |

Hey bud
Josh is right its centermetre squared , about the size of your thumb nail , so you imagine the skill some of these doctors have to put between 60- 80 grafts ,and even more sometimes ,in the size of your thumbnail ! mad in it ? Richie 2100 crown grafts Dr Feller nov 2007 |

Thanks Guys!! Thats very helpful! So a skillied doc can put roughly 60-80 grafts in an area the size of a thumbnail.

For comparison, check out that video TomA posted of Dr. Sosha whatever. You got it. The operative word is "can". Keep in mind that this kind of dense packing isn't always appropriate for all patients. See Are higher densities always superior?
