I'm an regular workout buff at the gym and have stopped taking any supplements since 2 weeks before surgery. Now, it's been 12 days post-surgery and I was wondering when I can start taking these supplemts again. They include multi-vitamins, protein shakes, and Hydroxycut (a fat-burning supplement that is take with every meal...works extremely well if anyone is thinking of shedding a few inches off the waste line while growing back that new hair!).

Thanks.

i too am a workout nut,2 weeks post op you can
take all your supplements(creatine,protein shakes,
hydroxycut which is ma huang & guarana, chromium &
l-carnitine,vanadyll sulfate is also fine)these
all don't effect hair growth adversly.i too was
concerned my doc said it's all fine after the
procedure.i wouldn't use some of these prior to
ht as they cause rapid heart beat and increased
blood flow.take it easy for a month or so,no
bench presses or squats.if you do some powerlifting, skip the deadlifts and anything
that strains or leads to failure.i walked 3 miles
everyday for 1st 2 weeks to keep active, went
very light for 3 weeks.i probably over did at about
the 3 week point,as i was dying to hit the bench
and at least get some reps with 225 which is
normally light for me,but not so soon after
surgery i felt a strain in the suture area and
stopped.i'm a little over 3 months post op and
i honestly can say it wasn't till a couple of
weeks ago that i felt ok to go all out again as
the tightness has subsided.take it light and easy
for a while as we all are different,be smart in
your judgement as to weightlifting, cardio i feel
can be resumed almost right away if you feel up
to it. good luck

Thanks for the info.

I figured I would wait about 2 weeks. I'll start at first with light weights and work to heavy weights over 2 weeks. Like you said...I'll see how I feel. Thanks again.
