I am seeking any one of your help to help me locate a physician to whom I can consult abt my scalp.The thing is ,I am not looking for a HT at this point of time or atleast don't need one now,but i would definetly would like to explore the possibility of non-surgical methods to keep my existing hair and if possible grow some new.Is a dermatologist the right person or is it someone else.I live in LA.Thanks much for all your time.Kevin

Yes. If I were you I'd talk with a dermatologist about your scalp. I have no idea who to recommend in your area, maybe a referral from your GP??

For non-surgical methods see the folders under the "Non Surgical Treatments for Baldness on the main HTN forum page. Also, use the find feature on the site to search for threads on Propecia, Proscar, Finasteride, Avodart, Minoxidil, Rogaine........and the list goes on.
