Can't imagine anyone being more obsessed about it than myself. Ever since I have found this forum, I have been on here..almost every day..finding safe haven from my craziness...I am back and forth with my decision making about who to choose, whether to do it..( I know I want to ..but worried that it won't turn out right, my donor hair is weak, I will lose my already existing hair etc....but one thing is for sure...this fxxxking worry has existed since the beginning of mankind..so the fact that during the Roman Empire, gents were looking for baldness cures to me underscores the unnaturalness of losing your hair...going gray, even receding a bit..ok. But losing a body part..that don't feel good!!! So go forth and let's make it happen..both of us...or all of us who want to take control!!!

Jack, how was your experience with Shapiro? I am in the same boat as all the obsessed worriers, but I know one thing: I am going to use the best doctor in the country when/if I make the move. I feel like the best is Shapiro --- Jack, how did it go my man?

Delwaredude- given that I didnt spend much time on checking out all the different doctors- I picked up the doctor that i thought was well respected and was considered one the best from this forum. so I dont have much feedback in terms of comparison with other doctors.
all I can say is I have nothing to complain about so far. my recovery is like anyone else's here. few tiny miny hiccups like numbness, donor area is still sensitive. i gradually started my physical activities (running and workout) and after five weeks - I was already at 75-80% of my previous level. (my physical activities are much more intense than an average person.)

now just waiting to see the end results. the process itself was not that complicated (from my perspective) or painful except when they put needles in the donor area.

although I have lost a lot of native hair which I am hoping will come back.

Hi, i think the fact that youre even looking at having a transplant means that you need to have one. I started losing my hair at about the age of 28 and was about 30 before i started trying to do something about it. agood friend of mine was also losing his hair and was considerably more thinning than i. i told him about regaine and propecia that i was taking and suggested he should try it, and he was amused that i was even bothering, what i am trying to say is that he was definately not a candidate for a transplant as he was happy and confident with the way that he looked. By the way i also had many people tell me that i looked great with my hair cropped to no2 cut and that it suited me and that i would look strange with hair again. But you know that's crap dont you.
I had a transplant done in Jan 2007 and so far i have not regretted a thing, although i am still waiting for the results which i am assured i will get. by the way i am 37 years old now and in about 1 years time i should start looking my age again.
