This is a closure method where either the top or bottom part of the donor incision is "beveled" causing hair to grow through the scar when it heals. So, you still have the thin scar, but there's hair growing through it. I had one with HT number 2, it really does work. Make sense?

Hairbank

1st HT 1-18-05 - 1200 FUT's
2nd HT 2-15-06 - 3886 FUT's Dr. Wong
3rd HT 4-24-08 - 2415 FUT's Dr. Wong

GRAND TOTAL: 7501 GRAFTS

current regimen: 1.25mg finasteride every other day

Instead of trying to answer your question, I found a good link for you to view Dr. Shapiro's very thorough explanation of this closure.

Hope this explains it all.

Hi Dazz

To give you an idea of the scar. I had the T closure and I can get down to Guard 2 or so without anything showing. Even better if the clip down to 3 and then cut with scissors.
Fue will not leave a linear scar but it's more expensive and you will get less grafts in one session for the most part.

My views are based on my personal experiences, research, and objective observations

Total - 5017 FU's uncut!

It all depends on YOUR scar, size, length, existing laxity,... etc - I have had FUE into my old Bosley scar with great success but your situ is unquie to you mate. It depends on a number of factors whether or not scar revison or FUE is the best option for YOU.

You have an existing scar which means you have already removed X amount of laxity.Tricho closure isn't a miracle cure, it is a form of closure which allows hair to grow through the scar. If you had your old scar removed your new one could still stretch as you aren't a virgin scalp WinkThis is were a Doc's experience is vital in order to determine the best approach in order to leave your situation better off post op. Most often the case is X amount of grafts are harvested whilst at the same time removing X amount of previous scars/scaring (depending on scars position) It's about prioritising the surgery to suit you best - Long term.

I get emails from many guys wanting to have their old scars removed and have a nice new neat Tricho in its place - Of course, who wouldn't !! But there are possible limitations due to previous surgery that have to get your head round.
