On my postop instruction sheet, it says after day 5, "you may begin to lightly rub the graft area to help remove crusts" & "any remaining crusts after 10 days should be rubbed off." Is there any arm in allowing them to fall off on their own?

I'm on day 3 postop and have a significant amount of crusts formed. However, my postop instruction sheet advises to soak my head in water for 20 minutes twice a day...I would expect that if you did that for 7 days, you won't have to worry about ANY crusts remaining.

Good luck...let me know how you make out...

Cheers Big Grin

Is it 6 months yet??

I pretty much let mine fall off on their own. I was apprehensive about helping. So mine took longer, but I've had great results so far(3 months post op). I do like the idea of soaking your head, I would have done that! Good Luck!
