this is the original post.. sorry for the repeat but i could load up the pic
the Dr. told me that the scar in the back will never go away!! is that true?? is there any other doctors that can make the scar go away! kinda scary, and he said 1000 grafts should be enough... for some reason after reading a lot of posts I dont think its quite enough? I wish i can compress my head pictures so i can load them here, but they're too big to load, anyhow i loaded the consultation sheet, please let me know if you think it looks ligit? should i do more than a 1000g so i dont have to deal with doing more surgeries after 6 months? any help would be much appreciated!

Markymark,

Yes, a scar is a scar...it will not go away. The best physicians can leave you with minimal scarring that can be concealed by keeping your hair on the sides and back a little longer, but you will have a permanent scar.

I'm not sure what to make of the attached picture. The fact that this physician is charging $3.50 per graft, however is stating that ech graft contains 2 hairs concern me. Now, perhaps he is taking into consideration the average that each naturally occuring FU contains approximately 2.2 hairs. BUT, since naturally growing follicular units grow in 1, 2, 3, or 4 hairs, stating that 1000 grafts is 2000 hairs exactly is incorrect, unless he is coupling singles to make doubles and splitting 3s and 4s. Even then, it still is most likely not going to be exact.

From what I can tell they've circled NW2? It's a little faded so it's hard to tell. It really depends on your goal, but I hope you can post some pictures of your head for us. If you need help resizing pictures, feel free to PM me and I'll give you my email address. You can send photos to me, I'll resize them and send them back if you want.

Hello Markymark,
It's hard without seeing your pictures. There is almost no picture size limit if you create a photoalbum in the forum.
If indeed you are a NW2, as I was, 1000FU will give you coverage but not a density you will be happy with for very long. I went through the exact same experience, had I found this great forum earlier I would have gotten 2200FU the first time around. Check my hair loss weblog and my album, hopefully we have very similar cases and you can benefit from my recent experience.
