Is it possible to have shockloss 2 plus months after a procedure? Also if so can shockloss occur directly behind the recipient area? Will the lost hair grow back if it was healthy ?My age is 43

I experienced shock loss between 1 & 3 months after my first HT so yes, I think it's definitely possible.
As for "behind" the recipient area, I would think if you're talking about right behind it (i.e. next to it) probably so. Now, if you had loss more than 1/2" - 1" away from the closest graft placed I wouldn't think so and I'd want a professional opinion so if that's the case talk to your Doc. If the hair that was shocked was MPB hair that was already very thin and close to going dormant anyway, it may very well not come back. Otherwise, I would think you'll have a fair amount come back. I'm 39, had my first HT a little over a year ago in and around existing hair and do believe many MPB susceptible hairs did not return. Good luck with recovery............it's the toughest part. Be patient, you're real close to turning the corner and seeing some results. Do you have pic's posted?
