That's what Dr. Bernstein told me when I visited his office last July. Could the doctors on this site please give their opinion about the above statement.

Thanks!

Why would Dr. Bernstein say that if he himself performs FUE's which includes a FOX test.If he thinks it damages the donor area he should not make it available to the public.

IMO,in the right hands with minimal transection the donor sight should look fine perhaps a bit diffused but not damaged !

I also find it puzzling that dr bernstein would agree to perform FUE when claims that strip excision is less damaging. However, I read a post, on Hairsite I believe, where a gentleman also claimed that Bernstein told him the same thing that he told me, "FUE is more damaging than strip excision".

During my meeting with Bernstein I never questioned his statement.

Any comments from the doctors that post on this site?

I have not seen one single person posting a question how revise a scar or correct any form of FUE surgery.

All you see on this and every other hair website is people trying to find answers to correct and revise traditional surgery. What does that suggest?

an error with FUE can easily be corrected. (thinness of donor area.) a large painful and unsightly strip scar can often never be fixed. That's just worse case scenario for both.

strip scar = mark the beast.
