I realize now that this thread makes no sense since it was edited.
The original question posed was whether or not Dr. Epstein charges for his consultations. Wanthairs replied to the original question. I consulted with Dr. Epstein in NYC recently and Roxy waived the $175 consultation fee as a courtesy. I fully expected and had no problem paying for his time although most HT surgeons do not seem to charge a consult fee.

i've had 3 consultations with Dr. Epstein, two before I had a procedure and was never asked a penny nor offered to pay either, (as noone asked me for money)...I would however gladly pay, as this is not a procedure to take lightly....

I had a HT with Dr. Epstein in Miami and before the procedure there was no consultation fee.
