I'd like to know what doctors recommend to put on the donor scar after a transplant? Will untreated scars not fade as well as treated ones, or will treated scars just fade quicker than untreated scars? For how long would you recommend using something? Thanks.

Most wounds treated by occlusion heal faster than those untreated. Occlusion can be done many ways, but the usual way is to apply an ointment to the wounds. Such ointments often contain antibiotics (exaples: neosporin, polysporin, etc.) but plain petrolatum works about as well. There are other occlusive methods but they are more difficult to hold in place due to position of the wound.
