Thanks NW- I just started on Proscar latley and I have experienced some shedding. This answered a lot of questions...thanks.

I have been on propecia for almost a year. I had never experienced any shedding as people have decribed. Recently however I have been noticing signifigant shedding over the last week or two. Does this mean that the drug is starting to kick in, or that it is losing effectivness? I have read that shedding is a sign that new hair is on the way...but does it happen this late in the treatment process? Thanks.
