Hey guys I know you have read this a thousand times---but I am experiencing some sexual side effects from Avodart-----The drug is working great and I dont want to stop taking it---Does anyone know If I can reduce the dose or take it every other day to help decrease the effects??

What is the current dosage you are taking of Avodart? I'm glad it's working great for you, but if you are experiencing side effects, you will have to weigh the benefits and drawbacks of cutting down the dosage verses keeping it the same. I believe physicians who prescribe it for hair loss typically prescribe .5mg daily. I know with Propecia, many hair restoration physicians recommend to their patients to cut the dosage in half or take it every other day to reduce the likelihood of side effects. Additionally, finasteride isn't as strong a drug....is there any reason you didn't try this first?
