I was watching TV and this infomercial came on about Procede and how it thickens our hair. Anyone try it? Does it work? I have grown to not believe any product that I see on TV until I do some research on it. Thanks!

I've never heard of it or tried it. There are likely several things that will "thicken" the hair or make it appear that way.
The only things proven to "regrow" and/or thicken the hair shaft are finasteride and Rogaine. IMO stay away from infomercials. I've yet to see one that delivers anything close to what they propose. Hairbank 1st HT 1-18-05 - 1200 FUT's 2nd HT 2-15-06 - 3886 FUT's Dr. Wong 3rd HT 4-24-08 - 2415 FUT's Dr. Wong GRAND TOTAL: 7501 GRAFTS current regimen: 1.25mg finasteride every other day My Hair Loss Weblog Disclaimer: I'm not a Doctor (and have never played one on TV |

I would reiterate what Hairbank said. Finasteride and minoxidil are the only FDA-approved meds for hair loss. The only other things worth trying in my opinion are dutasteride (if finasteride does not work for you), Nizoral shampoo, and spironolactone (topical anti-androgen). Although these three remedies are not FDA-approved for hair loss, I have read many positive accounts from guys that use them.
