hi guys, i have read some posts about people who experienced some increased shedding during the first few months after starting propecia. Does that happen, and, if so, how many of you have experienced that?
thanx. |

Paris,
It can and does happen. Finasteride expedites the process of hairs that are already heading into the telogen (dormant) phase. This "shed" should pass after no more than 2 or 3 months. Results can be seen as early as 4 to 5 months. -Robert ------------------------------ Check out the results of my surgical hair restoration performed by Dr. Jerry Cooley by visiting my Hair Loss Weblog |

Personally, I think the shedding is a bit over-hyped. Yes, you you will notice more hair coming off in your hands in the shower while shampooing, but just remember that these sailors were about to jump ship anyway.
