hi guys, i have read some posts about people who experienced some increased shedding during the first few months after starting propecia. Does that happen, and, if so, how many of you have experienced that?

thanx.

Paris,

It can and does happen. Finasteride expedites the process of hairs that are already heading into the telogen (dormant) phase. This "shed" should pass after no more than 2 or 3 months. Results can be seen as early as 4 to 5 months.

Personally, I think the shedding is a bit over-hyped. Yes, you you will notice more hair coming off in your hands in the shower while shampooing, but just remember that these sailors were about to jump ship anyway.

Just remember that you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet Wink.
