Ive read most of the posts here and Im really confused: If proscar can be taken every other day then why do guys take it every day?? Whats the best way to go w/ this... every day or every other day? Thanks in advance,

I'll answer your question as best I can. I just started Proscar after my 2nd HT around 3 months ago. Before starting, I spoke to Dr. Wong about it. He advised to take 1.25mg (proscar quartered) every other day because it actively inhibits DHT for 72 hours thus you don't need a daily dose. So.........I chose to take it every other day. I've heard of some trying to stretch it out to 72 hours which I feel is risky. The main goal is to actively fight DHT which can safely be accomplished with a dose every 48 hrs. Hope this helps.
