Hi, I'm 20 and believe I am experiencing some gradual hair loss. On average I lose about 40-70 hairs a day. Is this normal? I have never experience this much hair loss before. It started about a month ago. My dad is pretty bald, but he's 43. I can see my hair line is receding a little. I don't have a specific bald spot on my head. I don't have a bald spot on the crown. Should I get on propecia? Any help is appreciated.. Thank you
I think it is considered normal to lose 100 hairs a day.
You should make an appointment to discuss Propecia with your family doctor or a dermatologist. Ask the doc if they think you should get on it. Explain your family history with hair loss, and your concerns about your situation.
If you do get on Propecia, you will probably do well because your hair loss is still recent, which helps contribute to success.
