Hey again all,
Just had a quick question... I've been on Propecia for seven months; I've went through the initial "shedding" phase at about two months. However, its started again and my crown coverage is diminishing. I'm considering switching to Avodart to block both types of DHT. My question is: will I re-experience shedding when switching drugs? Does anyone have any experience with switching from one drug to the next? Thanks ya'll |

Yes, you'll experience more shedding if you switch to Avodart. In fact, read of other posters who changed the regimen with the same meds and experienced shedding (going from daily to every other day). At 7 months, it may just be another shedding phase. If I were you, I'd give it at least 1 year before considering a switch to Avodart.
You might try using the find feature on the site to reserach this. I'm sure Robert switched and I do believe he experienced mega-shedding but waited it out.
