Hi,
I am kind of ocnfused on all the drugs and stuff. I am from India but right now in US for sometime. I am facing hair loss problems and want to know the bets drugs to use. 1. Which drug dosage shows the bess results - Propecia, Nizoral, Minoxidil? 2. Are these drugs available only on prescription? 3. Can Propecia be substituted by Finax or Finpecia? Please give some expert advice and guide me through. Thanks, Sid |

Sid, Your question is difficult to answer. Which works best is a matter of opinion. You may be best served to use the find feature on this site and do a little research as there are tons of information on Propecia, Nizoral and Minoxidil. Propecia is taken internally and inhibits DHT which is attacking your MPB susceptible hair.......it is by prescription only. Nizoral is an anti-fungal shampoo which cleanses the scalp to help provide optimal growth conditions. You can buy Nizoral 1% at Walmart, Nizoral 2% is by prescription. Minoxidil is a topical solution used to aid in loss prevention and possibly mild regrowth but I've opted not to use it because of the required regimen. Minoxidil is over the counter, no prescription needed. You can use generic Propecia (Finpecia), just make sure what you're buying is manufactured by a reputable pharmacutical company like Merck. As I said, use this site to do some research. There are countless posts to review with valuable information regarding the items for which you have questions.
