I know this may sound like a stupid question, but does everyone shed hairs - like in the shower when shampooing - or do guys without hairloss problems not shed at all? Some days I don't notice any hairs shed after I shampoo, and other days I see 10-15 hairs. Is this cause for concern or normal??
Everyone sheds hair, period. A completely normal rate is between 50 - 100 a day. So, usually anything more is cause for concern. I've only been losing it for 3 years now, so it's pretty fresh in my mind what the first stages are like. The wonderings of, "Am I, naw I can't be!". I just think that if your body is telling you you might be starting to lose your hair, chances are you are. And in that case, definitely get on Propecia. The side effects are not half as bad as people make it out to be. And maybe add in a few good shampoos like Nioxin, NANO, or Nizoral. But remember the shampoos are only for general health and thickening and not for hair growth. Good luck with the battle!
The most important thing to do is to get on Proscar ASAP!
As PRGUY just metioned if you think you are losing your hair you probley are. The worst thing you can do is simply nothing. The longer you wait the worse it gets.
I think that is what our biggest problem is regarding hair loss. Just to think how different things would have been if I would have delt with the hair loss issue when it first started.
If you read my original post, I was asking if people who do not have hairloss problems have noticeable sheddingt. Like the buddy we all have who has a ton of hair. Does he still see 5-10 hairs after shampooing? That was my question. I am on Propecia.
