I have took Proscar for over 10 years. I still seem to be thinning on the front hairline. A hair DR told me I should take Avodart, as well as Proscar. That there are 2 causes of DHT and Proscar works on "cause 1" , but not " #2". And Avodart will work on "cause 2", but not "cause 1". Since I have took Proscar for so long and I am still thinning I should now try Avodart, too.
Another hair DR (I have consulted with about 5 in regards to a HT) told be that I should only take one. That Avodart works on both causes of DHT. So if Proscar is not working effectively enough, I should switch to just Avodart. I'm confused!?! |

Kriss,
you would be well advised to use the "find" function on this forum regarding Avodart. This should shed some light on how the drug works, potential side effects etc. Dabuski. |
