I started taking this 4 wks ago. My understanding from what I've read here is that is is Minoxidil. I am shedding long and short hairs. When I say short I mean thinner hairs, but this happened anyway when I shampood. I read here to wait and the shedding will stop or atleast fewer hairs fall out. Again it's been 4 wks. Is this normal? Also, How long does it have to absorb in the scalp before I can wash my hair and style as usual? Does the minoxidil not let the scalp breath after a while and need to be washed out? My hair feels nasty.

You are wasting your money with that stuff. You might as well just buy Minoxidil instead..Nothing on infomercials work.

Hello I am a 39 yr. old male who started losing my hair in my early 20's. I too, like many of you have tried almost anything I could in the hopes of growing the hair that I lost. I am a new member to this site, one who recently added scalp med to the produces I already use. It is too early for me to know if it is making any difference but I will keep you posted. As for some of the previous posts on this site I think some of you should take a deep breath before placing your posts. Many of you have not even made the connection that one of their primary ingredients is in fact Minoxidil. If however you believe the Minoxidil that you buy in your local grocery or drug store is as effective as Minoxidil with added ingredients, well your wrong. Ask Dr. Lee in California or Dr.Lewenberg or Dr. Klein out of Manhattan NY. For years these Physicians have been formulating minoxidil with other ingredients to make the formula much more effective. Granted its more expensive and requires a prescription but I can assure you it works many times better then regular minoxidil. I am not saying at this point that scalp med works as good as their products but I know first hand theirs works wonders for me. I have added scalp med in the hopes of filling in the thin spot on the very crown of my head. I even read a post where an individual stated the FDA does not monitor infomercials.....Are you Kidding me??!! They absolutely investigate anyone who makes a claim that a product is FDA approved. Be real if that were the case I could say I had a product that cured cancer and it has an ingredient that is FDA approved....make millions and not be held accountable. Your comments are simply wrong. I think a few members made the statement to the effect that nothing on infomercials really works. Until this product I have never bought anything from an infomercial but to say nothing from infomercials works....what about proactive? I dont suffer from acne, never have but I seriously doubt successful people like P.Diddy, Jessica Simpson, Alecia Keys etc. would go on an infomercial and risk their reputations if they didnt believe in the product. I doubt they need the money. I think some of you are looking for a magic pill or something. The reality is some products are going to work for some individuals and some are not. That is why companies are required to put disclosures that say something like unique results individual results may vary. No one can make the claim that anything related to hair loss, acne, etc. will absolutely work 100% of the time. As for Sherida Devine... I looked at your site where you posted numerous pictures over time, they look pretty legit. If you read this I hope it doesnt offend you but Ive seen plenty of women with extentions or weave both black and white and your pictures look nothing like that. I am happy for your results and maybe just maybe with a little luck I will be able to report similar....only to no doubt be bashed by some of the members of this site. By the way the Doctors I mentioned previously are VERY reputable and have spent years in the field of research as it relates to hair loss. Each of them have documented and validated research that show minoxidil with added ingredients is much more effective the minoxidil alone. Maybe scalp med has a similar formulation. Oh and by the way when rogain first came out they(the manufacturer) too had to change the wording on the claims because the FDA felt they were misleading or did not have enough documentation to support the claims.

Scalp med is nothing more than cosmetically enhanced minoxidil. The only difference is they play infommercials all night and make ridiculous claims on it's effectivness. At best it is minoxidil which doesn't assist in regrowth in the frontal area..There are many posts on here with the same feedback, do a search. All the people promoting scalp med on here are new users on here which have questionable credability. No offense to you of course. There are hundreds of infommercials which are highly fraudulent so we can t even go there.
