Here is a picture taken just after finishing the procedure so you have an idea of the area covered. As you can see we went for coverage, not for density.

The patients that have had both strip and FUE do not report us any differences in regrowth time.
Personally I got very early growth from both FUE and strip, I could not see any significant difference.

ps : patient will come back next year for crown work, another +- 2k grafts

There is definately a change. I am not sure where these picture were taken but it appears the after picture were taken with a flash. I don;t know if you do it intentionally or not but taken after picture with a flash doesn't give a realtistic look. I agree with Falceros in the past that your pictures don't look clear or accurate (flash on).
Could you please post some close up with the flash off?

Hi balody,
his donor area was good average but certainly not an extremely good donor area.

He wanted FUE because he wants to keep his hairstyle options open. Furthermore the costs for FUE or not significantly higher anymore than strip (Belgium/Holland)

High lorenzo,
Actually the patient is a fotographer himselve. He is going to give us some hints for future pictures.
The pictures are not taken with a flash light, however a 1000 W lamp is shining directly at the patient.

Bart,

Thanks for posting these. This patient looks great. I would also like to see a picture of the mature donor area.

Though a flash can distort the truthfulness of an image, I have found that as long as the before and after pictures are taken the same way, that one does get an accurate representation of the photo.

Interestingly enough, the flash makes a hairline shot look thicker, but the hair looks thinning on top/down shots.

Best wishes,

Falc

Bart,

I forgot to ask - how many procedures / days was the surgery completed in?

Thanks,

Bill (Falc)

Falc,
This procedure was done over 3 days instead of 2. Reason being that he was a training patient for a new implanter and she had to be given more time.

Sorry, we did not take a picture of his donor area. The dr. did examine it and found that another 2000 gr. are definately possible.
There is no sign of any visible thinning either.

Bart,

Was the surgery performed in 3 consecutive days?

In my opinon, there is no doubt that these results look great.

Thanks,

Falc

Hey first of all I really like the results you have been showing lately.
Why does your clinic or doctors prefer fue only when its so much easier for the doctors to perform a strip. What takes a doctors full attention for 2 days takes other docs two hours in one day for even more grafts with the rest of the time being in the techs hands.
Is it the scar issue?

Falc,
Yes indeed, it was over 3 consecutive days.
Patients where well informed before their procedure as to why it would take 3 days instead of 2.

PGP
'costumor service' and virtually risk free is what comes to mind.
Therefore I applaud all strip clinics that make the switch or at least make an effort to add FUE to the list.
That having said I must warn that FUE takes a lot more than a weeks practice or so. IMHO it takes at least 1 year before a doc has come to grips will all facets of FUE.

these results look great, imo. here is another case of a nw5-6 guy getting his hair back which should make ht naysayers look foolish. also i think the density looks fine despite the fact you say he was going for maximum coverage.
