We performed this session last week, 2 day procedure, each day 1500.
He specifically wanted to use the FUE method, other methods are discarded.
Frontal density : 50 to 60 grafts per cm2.
As usual 0,7 mm extraction instruments where used exclusively.
A 2,6 hair per graft was achieved, which is quite high.

Patient will return in 2 months to fill up the area between the crown and the implants, another round of 1500 grats, or 4500 grafts in total.

We expect that his donor area will even be strong enough to fill in his crown at a later time, another 2K grafts.

Obviously we will keep updates.

Consultant-co owner Prohairclinic (FUE only) in Belgium, Dr. De Reys.

Bart,

Thanks for the post. The immediately postoperative results look nice and ultra refined. I've also been impressed by the appearance of the donor area site on previous patients as well. Can you post some donor pictures on this?

I hope that you will keep us updated on this patient's progress. Impressive immediately postoperative pictures can be exciting, but ultimately means nothing if the end result isn't posted.

Keep us updated.

Falc

It does look very refined and Bart is always very realistic with the donor reserve estimates.

Falc, do you or Pat have plans to visit Barts clinic? It would be great to have a first hand recommendation for anyone considering FUE.

gazza,

I believe Pat had plans at one point to visit their clinic but for one reason or another, it didn't work out. I have no further information at this time about future visits. I agree that visiting their clinic would most likely be a worthwhile trip.

Bart,

Regarding the extraction instrument - what is your clinic's philosophy on using varying size instruments to extract varying size follicular unit grafts?

2.6 hairs per graft on average is clearly above the norm - some patients are lucky like that. Do you have a true hair count breakdown per graft? Thanks,

Falc

Looks good. The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. And the proof of a HT is in the growth! Look forward to seeing fully grown out pics.

Guys came across this posting from Pat made on June 16 2007. He visited the clinics in Belgium but was unfortunately unable to observe the surgery taking place. See link attached:

Perfect Fit,

Thanks for the reminder. I do now recall that Pat did visit their clinic but simply couldn't see surgery performed due to a cancelation on behalf of the patient. Hopefully in the near future, he'll be able to visit them again.
