I had a transplant 30 years ago using the punchgraft technique.I had 2 sessions.
The first session left me with a terrible open wound on the right hand side of my head.
I was told that it would return to normal in due course.
Since then I have had constant headaches which also radiates down the my neck which is very unpleasant.
The area is still sensitive to touch.
At the time I was told that the company "Transform" had the backing of the BMA as I live in the UK.This was a lie as I found out later.
Had I known about the lie and the complication caused I would never have had this procedure done.
I would not recommend this to anyone as it has not been successful anyway.I now wear a piece to cover the baldness which I should have gone for before.
We all learn by our mistakes but I feel I was mislead at the time.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and what you have had to go through - but like many still do get misinformed and manipulated due to their vulnerable state and many clinics out there are determined to continue to rip people off and ruin lives with out dated techniques - This is still happening today in many places and especially in the UK - i meet with repair guys all the time and its disgusting what people are actually prepared to do to get your money Eek Never mind the money but the disfigurement many are left with is the main concern and these clinics need to be shut down immediately - but they will not be - there's too much money in it and they are not governed by anyone - Its an appalling state of affairs and i feel for you for you have had to live with all this time. I have seen this old school technique many times and its not good.

Do LOTS of research on here and other forums and you will soon see there is hope out there if you choose to trust again as many have had their situ aided by going to a Dr that knows what he is doing and actually cares.

Good luck!

I am a paid showcase and "patient coordinator" for Feller Medical, PC in the UK - all opinions expressed are my own.All assesments and treatment plans are made by Dr. Feller alone.Be aware of clinics who use paid non-doctor consultants to assess your hairloss as this is absolutely illegal in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.
