It's been about 6 years since my last HT (go here to see it: http://www.hairlosshelp.com/websites/bruinman/)
Lately, I've shed more of my hair and decided to go through it again. This time, I wanted a FUE. Just a little bit about me : My first HT was with Dr. Hasson (Hasson n Wong). It was GREAT! I had like 1800 grafts I think (Joe can verify it, I totally forgot about it). Anyways, Dr. Hasson took into account my future hair loss, and did not over harvest my donor hair and came up with a nice design that both framed my head and gave me a good 6 years. Six years later, I did some research and since I am located in China, I did not want to fly too far. Pakistan, India , and Thailand were my only choices. I chosed Dr. Hussain as I read some good reviews about him and he was very helpful through our 2 month email exchange. Getting to Pakistan was not very easy. But after getting all of the necessary documents, I arrived three days ago. Stayed with him in his guest house. Yesterday and today, we both strategized on where he will put my limited donor hairs to. Since Dr. Hasson did such a great job on my hairline, I was comfortable with it and did not need it done. So I had Dr. Hussain just add more hair towards the crown (but not the crown itself) and fill in all the hairs I've lost on the top for the last 6 years. Also, I was interested in putting some grafts (300 in total) in the scar line to see if I can at least break up the continuity of it. I'll try and post some pics and update them throughout. bruinman,
Welcome to our forum community and congratulations on your second hair transplant. My only concern is that your doctor extracted follicular units outside of the universal safe zone. Using nape hair is highly controversial because it could be susceptible to loss. Hair taken too high like in your case could be problematic because that area is also prone to future loss. Did your doctor explain these risks and if so, what were his reasons for extracting grafts outside the usual safe zone? Also, is there any particular reason you chose FUE since you've already done strip with Dr. Hasson? Thanks Falc...
Hopefully, these hairs are not the ones that are prone to loss. I'll take more pictures in a week and in the coming months. |
