Hello Falceros,
I just read your story there now, very good. Makes me very optimistic as to what can be achieved through hair transplantation carried out by the right doctor. I only joined this forum four days ago and it's members quite literally steered me on the right track AWAY from a very, VERY questionable doctor with unproven results. As I came across this forum completely by chance and wasn't even aware that such forums existed, I naively accepted my chosen doctor's assurance that his work was 'the best in the country' (Ireland). And as he was charging me through the roof I figured he must be good, not so. This doctor (Dr. Conor Kiely) is discussed in detail elsewhere on this forum. But for now I wish to extend my sincerest thanks to guys like you who set up these forums that help expose these quacks and of course the members themselves whose advice has saved me a lot of time, money and of course, my precious donor follicles Smile

Thanks to everyone who has followed and commented on my hair restoration journey to date.

As I've mentioned previously above, I will soon be visiting with Dr. Hasson for my 4th hair transplant to add more density in the front. If he can get enough grafts, I'll add more to the crown as well.

It's hard to believe, but my surgery is less than a month. Where some people will be conjuring up ideas to fool and pull pranks on their loved ones, I'll be sitting in surgery on April 1st.

I will added my surgical, progress, and result photos to my blog to chart my progress and then post a link on the forum monthly with the updates for those interested in following along.

Best wishes,

Bill (Falc)

Just a reminder, April Fool's Day is on April 1st in Canada just like in the States but you have nothing to worry about...muhahahahaha!

I am employed by Hasson & Wong, on salary, not commission. My opinions are my own. Beware of deceptive photo tactics used by clinics with both flash and studio lighting. Photo gallery patients are not models.

Have a safe journey Falc, and watchout for those pesky custom agents. They snagged my shampoo that H&W gave me. I'll bet that agent is at home right now, lathering up with my shampoo, laughing.

Hasson and Wong, Nice....lets hope they get plenty of grafts to make it worthwhile.

Didn't see the other thread about your upcoming surgery, FUE or strip?

Thanks all for your support.

Joe,

I'm not worried...or else I've got an April fool's joke prepared for you :-).

Leeson,

I actually got throught the airport the first time with the shampoo. But that's because I took off my hat and explained to them about the surgery. Of course, if they did confiscate it, it wouldn't be the end of the world. It looks like the joke was on them anyway right? :-)

Petchski,

I'd love to be able to get 2500-3000 FU grafts - that's my goal anyway. Of course, Dr. Hasson will ultimately do his best to maximize the number of grafts he can harvest safely. I certainly wouldn't want to overtax the donor and risk infection. After all, this will be my last surgery for awhile (maybe forever) and I want the best scar possible in addition to maximum yield.

Hasson and Wong doesn't perform FUE, so I'm going with strip.

Best wishes,

Bill (Falc)

Thanks guys for the encouragement.

I'll be in Vancouver is just over a week and in surgery in less than a week and half. I trust Dr. Hasson and his dedicated staff will take good care of me.

I'll keep you posted on my procedure and journey.

Falc,

This is HUGE! Congratulations on opting for another procedure with the classy folks at H&W. I see you are targeting 2500 grafts and - perhaps you have already mentioned elsewhere, so I apologize if you have - but are you targeting more thickness up front in the hairline, the crown, or just overall...?

All the best I truly look forward to your comprehensive update (as always!).

Thanks for your support guys.

Even though my crown is the thinnest, I'm confident enough in the crown that I will be targeting the front half of my scalp to add more density. My goal is to minimize the appearance of thinning in the front even under the harshest lighting.

The goal is 2500+ grafts which is what I originally estimated I had available and Dr. Hasson confirmed the goal seems reasonable based on my remaining laxity and density.

I'll be flying to Vancouver in less than a week now!

I'll certainly keep you all posted :-).
