I appreciate all the support guys. I'm actually surprised at how quick the time went and will soon be flying to Vancouver this coming Monday. I think the worst part of the trip will be getting up at 3:30 to get to the airport by 5 for a 7:30 flight. Of course, I'll then be flying for about 8 hours total and have a layover to switch planes in between. Oh the fun of flying across country. Frankly, I rather drive and take the time to sight see :-).

its752,

Can you believe after 7550 grafts that I still have some donor left? My goal is to make it into the 10,000+ club - I guess time will tell :-). I'm pleased to hear that I've been able to help support you in your journey as well.

thanatopsis,

Thanks my friend. I'll be documenting my progress and pictures on my blog. Stay tuned :-).

azza,

Hopefully I'll end up over 10,000 actually, but we'll see. Thanks for your support!

justgrow,

You're right...time is ticking and fast. I'm looking forward to it though - it will be great to see Dr. Hasson, Dr. Wong, Joe, and staff again, not to mention, getting some more hair!

Leeson,

You and me both my friend, you and me both :-)

spex,

Thanks for the support my friend. I definitely have a case of hair greed. After all, a norwood 6 has a long way to go to getting close to any real illusion of density. Let's just say I won't rule out the possibility of FUE once I'm stripped out. But I'm not planning on another surgery anytime soon after this.

Benjamin,

No hard feelings buddy. I appreciate your support and encouragement.

fixing-it,

I've been doing the scalp exercises and have felt my scalp become more loose over the last 2 months gradually. Here's hoping for a large session :-).

Bill (Falc)

Bill,
The trip is a BEAR..no doubt. As with all things that build up over time, the actual event is never as bad. This trip, as you well know, is worth the effort. I look forward to your report. Good Luck on the 10,000 club..a noble goal.

Fal-- best of luck with Hasson.
Look like your working on frontal core density-- let us know how it goes. How many grafts are you expecting to get this time?

Also, with your goal of frontal core/hairline work-- what was your decision in selecting Hasson over others.

Falc, You have definitely helped me. Now that I think about it there are a few in the 10,000 club, but it would even be sweet to get another 1,000 into your front and possibly go further. If you're there for a few days do yourself a favor and check out Stanley Park. You won't believe it!

I concur - the beauty is though that its an option to obtain yet a further donor later down the line to entertain the greed... Cool

Have a smooth ride from start to finish Cool

So time has flown by and in a day and a half, (this Monday March 30th) I'll be on a plane to Vancouver to meet with Dr. Hasson and his experienced staff on Wednesday April 1st. Tuesday, I'll get the pleasure of joining a good friend and touring the town - a nice treat before surgery :-).

Lorenzo,

If you're in town and/or at the clinic during the day of my surgery, please be sure to stop by and say hello. I'll be at the clinic at around 10:30 or so for my surgery at 11am (a later surgery time than I've had in the past).

uncjim,

I don't even mind the time it takes to get there as much as I hate airports and waiting to see if there are delays/cancelations on flights, etc - and ultimately, relying on things completely out of my control. That's why I'd prefer to drive if I was just 3000 or so miles closer :-).

Smoothy,

I'm shooting for 2500+ grafts, which will put me in the 10,000+ club. But we'll see what can realistically be done - I trust Dr. Hasson will get the most he can safely while minimizing the donor scar.

In my opinion, Dr. Hasson has and can create beautiful hairlines, so I'm sure that I'll be very happy with what he can provide both in terms of numbers and artistry.

its752,

It means a lot to me that I've been an encouragement to you. I'll talk to my friend Jane about Stanley Park and hopefully we'll have time to hit it on Tuesday before my surgery :-).

Spex,

Thanks my friend - I plan on documenting my journey in detail on my blog and post updates on the forum. I appreciate your encouragement and your interest in following my transformation.

balody,

Thanks for your encouragement bro. I'm looking forward to thickening up my hair and hopefully minimizing the appearance thinning in the front under even the harshest lighting conditions.

Best wishes,

Bill (Falc)

I would wish you good luck Bill, but you definitely will not need it as you are going to a true master.

I hope that Dr. Hasson is able to hit the graft number you are shooting for so you can be part of the 10K club. That is super exciting!!

We all look forward to following the next chapter in your journey and as always wish you only the best. Can't wait to see some new pics!

Thanks guys,

So I made it to Vancouver earlier this afternoon and got together with a friend for dinner and coffee - she even picked me up at the airport which was an unexpected surprise - saved me from having to get a taxi.

I'll be joining her again tomorrow for a tour of the city and then on Wednesday April 1st, I'll be in surgery starting around 11am.

My only disappointment is that my wife did not embark on this journey with me as she had previously (though she wanted to), so I will be having to fly home and deal with airports on my own the next day. It's bad enough when your scalp hasn't just been cut open :-P.

But I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Hasson and Wong and dreaming of even denser and thicker hair.

Best wishes,

Bill (Falc)

I saw you signed on and was thinking, isn't Falc in Canada? I guess he has his laptop.
