For many years, I was considering hair loss options to correct progressive frontal recession issues. On the most part, my frontal hair recession wasn't that extreme. However, when I would see pictures of myself I would be bothered with some areas showing signs of recession (mostly in the temple area). I am not a believer in Rogaine, or other "miracle" products (wouldn't even waste my money) and knew that hair transplantation was probably the only real solution that produced real results.

I am not sure why I waited so long, but as I turn 35 I knew this was the best time for me to move forward. My fears? I don't think I had any real fears regarding the surgery. In the last ten years, I had two other major cosmetic surgeries (not hair related) that completely overshadowed this one. Ultimately, I went with the Charles Medical Group (Dr. Glen Charles) for the "surgery". I can't even call it a surgery for I was awake during the whole process, watching movies,and talking to the (great) staff.

Well, I had the surgery today! I still cannot believe it came and went already. The long dreaded day was nothing more than a feeling of going to a salon- but with individualized attention. Aside from some discomfort tonight, the surgery was truly painless. I felt nothing! I even fell asleep during the surgery for over an hour (too embarrassed to find out if I drooled or not). I am so excited and look forward to the recovery and regrowth. I can see exactly where the growth will be and it is going to be nothing less than awesome.

I will say this regarding my overall experience with the Charles Medical Group,...Dr. Charles is VERY knowledgable regarding his profession, and was extremely passionate about getting me to reach my goals. I was very confident with him, as well as his staff and definitely recommend him.

I, like the others on this site, plan to come back with a follow-up. I haven't seen many others coming back, but I would imagine that if there was any dissatisfaction from these people, they would have come back to complain! I guess they are off living their life with hair now!
