Hello, I read your post on the net re: Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich &
Stough technique. I live in bangkok, I'm from Canada, 31, and have also been
seriously considering HT. I saw Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich's web site, but
to be honest, I haven't a clue where to begin in finding out what and
how is going to be the best way to go about this. I'm very terrified and
would be greatful for your experience with Dr. Damkerng and what has
happened so far! Has he given you a quote on the cost, and what procedure
you will be following? Does he perform the FUE/FUT techniques? (Just saw
about that today). Any info would be very much appreciated! Looking
forward to your email. I tryed emailing you direct but the address didn't work...my direct email is english4unme@yahoo.com

Stough Medical Associates was founded by Doctor Blufford Stough in Hot Spring, AR. If the doctor learned from him and not his son Dow Stough I would highly recommend him. I noticed that the two associated women he has working with him worked for Dow. Dow is a modern day con artist and had always tried to take the fame and client base from his father. Believe it or not, his office was in the same building as his fathers and he is still trying to play off his father's accomplishments. Dow in essence is a spoiled little brat who is a thief. Blufford was a true pioneer in the hair transplant field who retired last year at 72. I had three transplants from him and he was truely a great doctor and person. I am now using one of his students who learned from him to finish the job "Blu" started. I elected to go with the father, not the son because he made plenty of sense and he really pioneered a lot of the current techniques. In my opinion, Blufford Stough invented a better technique than this web site supports. He uses the "multi-farious techique" which creates superior density and is far easier to perform than 100% follicular grafting. My opinion is that this is one of the best web sites around but the people on it cry too much and make too big of a deal out of hair transplantation. Blu Stough gave many free hair transplants over the years in order to perfect his techniques. This is something I have never heard any doctor on this web site doing. The doctor in Bancock I would recommend if he is a product of Blufford Stough. I was probably one of Blu's last patients. He was one heck of a doctor. His son is an ingrate and he is buying and stealing respect in order to sell his services. His father never had a web site and never had to advertise. He also trained many a doctor from around the world. That should tell you a lot. If you want futher information let me know and I will gladly repley. Good luck!

would you pick a doc, that's hardly ever discussed on this forum? Maybe it's just me, but isn't it better to go with someone who's name came up on this forum more than once? HT is not something you want to be experimenting around with.

Stough is one of the recommended doctors on this forum. But who ever said this forum had all the answers. You are talking to a four time hair transplant vetran who has very good results from Dr Dow Stough father. He goes beyound the follicular transplant methods and I for one was lucky enough to find him. Maybe you ought to try thinking outside the box a little and have a little more courage in life. The reply has a little twist to it but no matter what I got far better results than a lot of people on this site have shown and I did my research very thouroughly. Try web site: hairdoctors.org. and open your eyes a little.

I would stay away from anyone that does scalp reductions and mini/ micro's. They are considered to be outdated techniques. You should be willing to travel anywhere to get the best results possible. It's a huge decision, don't take it lightly. Don't do anything until you have done a ton of research and you MUST meet some of the doctor's patients before proceeding. If the doctor is doing good work, he'll have happy patients that will glady show you the work.

ken_keen,

Dr. Pathomvanich is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network and has been impressing the patient community with his presentation of before/after photos in the "Results Posted by Leading Hair Transplant Clinics" section of the forum.

You can also use the "find" feature to see what his patients or view his patient blogs.
