I, as many of you no doubt either are or have been at some stage, in the process of making a very difficult decision. I am in my early 30s, have been losing my hair very gradually for the past 5-6 years, and have reached the stage where I either grow old gracefully and take out the clippers, or proceed with HT and have the opportunity to stay the way I would like to. Hmm, sounds simple when put like that, but as we know its the 'no going back' factor in HT that makes it a tough decision.

Living in the UK, with a selection of low quality and generally untrustworthy surgeons, doesn't make this decision any easier.

So I made contact with Spex. If you are not aware, Spex is very active in the forums, and also offers us Brits the opportunity to meet him and discuss his HT experiences (good and bad).

I spent over an hour with Spex, discussing my personal situation, his experiences and advice on various subjects. It also enabled me to see his fine head of hair, which looks completely natural.

It was a pleasure to meet such a down-to-earth genuine guy who knows what you are going through and is willing to offer advice. It was a huge help to me and will definitely help my decision.

Thankyou Spex!

Yes it does. You know you'll have to cross the pond.

To achieve the best natural looking HT results boils down to the surgeon not the technique.

Strip (FUT) Allows larger session to be performed in one session.

FUE - enables smaller sessions.

Both these techniques have their benefits, but ultimately the outcome of the result and its naturalness are down to the skill and artistic ability of the Surgeon - not the technique.
