Hello, I am new to this forum and have enjoyed reading the different topics. Anyhow On May 13,2008 I had 2000 grafts done with Dr. Cooley in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have had about 1800 grafts from him about April 2004 also. First I would like to say Dr. Cooley is the only surgeon that I will let touch my head. I have several other hair surgerys done in the past before 2004 from other surgeons and they don't even come close to Dr. Cooley and his staff. He is very gentle and the staff is excellent. I would recommend Dr. Cooley to anyone seeking a Dr. for hair surgery. My wife is going to have her eyebrows down by him very shortly also. If I did not live in the Charlotte, NC area I would still have Dr. Cooley perform my surgerys. Thank you Dr. Cooley and Staff and may God continue to Bless you and the staff. I will be back for one more surgery next year. Anyone wanting to talk to me about Dr. Cooley you may email me at: fatheryahweh@hotmail.com

Greetings Silversurfer,
I am going to have 3000 grafts with Dr. Cooley pretty soon. I am curious as to how the recipient sites looked after two weeks. I'm trying to gauge how much time off from work I'll need to avoid being noticed.

Depends, but I'd take a week off if you can.

I went back in 4 days but I've got some native hair that covered, but I had some large plugs taken from my hairline. Those were noticeable for a few days until the scabs came off.

My dad is a NW7, and if he had some put on his head and didn't want to be noticed at all, I'd recommend 2 weeks.

But, I think you'll be suprised out how delicate, for lack of a better word, the whole thing is. With Cooley, anyway. My doc in 1991 left me hurting for about a week. I guess it was the 'mini's' from back then.

300 'mini' grapfts by Latham's Hair Clinic - 1991 (Removed 50 plugs by Cooley 3/08.)

1.25 mg Proscar M-W-F
Rogaine 5% Foam - once daily
AndroGel - once daily
Lipitor - 5 mg every other day
Weightlifting - 2x per week
Jogging - 3x per week

Silversurfer,

Nice alias and great movie!

I'm pleased to hear that you had a good experience with Dr. Cooley. I hope you'll share your photos with us by creating a hair loss blog.

Best wishes,

Falc
