14 months ago I had the HT done by Dr Paul Shapiro. It was my first one and I did about 1500 grafts to lower my hairline. Prior to the HT, I researched this forum to see who was the more reputable physician. I am glad I made the choice with Paul as he did a wonderful job. The hair started to come out after the 3rd month and redness faded away by around the 4th month. By then I cut my hair short to reveal the transplanted area and never looked back. My hair was so natural that my wife did not even suspect it. Neither did my hair stylist. The only regret was that I did not ask for a lower hairline had I known the result would be so fantastic.
For those of you who are thinking about getting HT, I believe nowaways if you go to a reputable one, the HT will be successful 99% of the time. Before the HT, I worried about all of the side issues like, plane tickets, getting time off, hat wearing, avoiding the sun, swelling, shedding, scarring, sleeping upright, etc. But once I get over that, then the rest is really easy. I stopped visiting this forum after the 5th month simply because I don't need any information from here anymore. I switched to a new display name and just want to come back here to share my feeling after 14 months which has been nothing but positive. If timing and scheduling permits, I would definitely go for a second HT with Shapiro. Cheers |
